Woohoo! It's about time I got my corn snake! Haha.

For those of you who haven't kept up with my posts... I ordered a striped amelanistic from Don Soderberg (South Mountain Reptiles: http://www.cornsnakes.net). I have to say that I am VERY impressed with his professionalism, the way he packed the snake, and his constant politeness in response to my e-mails, I know I must have been getting annoying with so many questions and begging for pics, haha! But he stayed very polite and never said anything about my being annoying, hehe.

I am very impressed with the snake, also! He is very sweet, a little hyper, but I'm sure with handling he will be alright soon enough. I am going to measure him later on today, but right now he's exploring his new cage. I will take pics later also, and post them as soon as they are developed (I have to take pics the old fashion way, I don't have a digi cam... phooey!)

As far as a name... his name is Chase. Hehe... Chase the snake. :)

Not sure on the specific age, I'll ask the breeder, lol. It's just a hatchling... not very big at all but he's sooooo cute!!

Searching for my crappy digi cam, so ya'll can see him sooner. lol.

We got our motley amel from Don Soderberg also. I have to agree we will probably be doing business with him again! If you ask him to he can get the exact hatch date. He did for us (aug. 14, 2003) :) so going on 5 months and about 2-2.5ft long! :)

It's a shame Don doesn't ship to Canada anymore. I want some of his corns.

I don't have an exact hatch date, but he said he was born in September. So I made up a birthday for him... September 27th, lol. Just randomly picked it out. :P

Still haven't measured him yet, will get to it soon. He is so sweet though, a real cool little guy! And I even got my mom to admit that he is ''kinda cute''!! Yay, go me! LOL.

Neat. It's always so exiting to get your first snake. :) Congratulations on the new guy. I'm sure you'll be hooked on corns sooner or later! Good luck with him.
