View Full Version : Tropidolaemus Wagleri
Anyone else out there keeping Wagler's Temple Pitvipers? I'm always looking for someone to share experiences and info regarding this little kept species.

We don't keep them too long, but we sell a lot of them
I have a female that is doing great. I am looking to buy a male.

What info do you need? I've kept them on and off for years. I've had two sucessful captive breedings and I had a trio for 7 years that I finally sold. You can call if you want at 772-519-1376

I have kept quite a few of them, and bred them for a few years.
Let me know if I can help you with something
Thanks for all your responses. I'll get intouch with you guys fairly soon. Thanks again it's very appreciated.
I've kept a c.b. pair for about two years now. Awesome snakes. I feed the female about once every three to four weeks and the male about every month and a half. They're extremely slow growing. Make sure to monitor defecation, I soak mine bi-weekly just to be safe.

Where did you get a cb pair? I've got some cbs comming in the spring from a breeder in Malaysia, but haven't been able to find any cbs here in North America. I do soak mine and watch for her defication. I've always heard conflicting reports about how often to feed them. I've read once every 30-40 days and another site said once every 10-15 days. My female has been feeding infrequently as I am still trying to establish her as a captive. I've had to recently place a hopper in her mouth inorder to induce a feeding responce. It worked she ate and will try again later. Thanks so much.
I was lucky enough to have a friend breed them. In terms of feeding, I feed mine on the conservative side. You could probably feed them as often as any other arboreal viperid if you wanted i.e. every 14 days.
