What temperature would be good for a sav to bathe in without being burned?

dont bathe your savannah unless hes dehydrated. if you see him drinking water regularly its not nessecary. Keep your ambient humidity, and temperatures good and you have no reason to bathe him. If you insist, luke warm, 80 degrees.

good luck.

I know I shouldn't bathe a sab, but It is necessary to have a "pool" for them at all times?

No its not, they are from the desert and normally I dont think there are many pools there.

just a water dish with decent humidity levels. this is why its important to keep your ventilation minimal. The substrate should never be sandy and dusty, if its kept in a way the animal can burrow with ease then your humidity should be good. good luck!

They do NOT come from deserts. They live in grasslands -- hence the name. And yes, there are definitely bodies of water.

reptiguy123,

It should be noted that I have not recommended any course of action with regards to keeping a tub. I have merely passed along info regarding the natural habitat of V.exanthematicus. I seem to be having a problem with people reading more into what I say than I intend.

Cheers,
Dave

Don't get me wrong, Dave, but I wasn't going to put a pool or tub in my enclosure. I was just looking for info that I could use for later reference, and I wanted a variety of opinions. Apparently I got the feedback that I was looking for!:)
