how many times do i bath my babie...??

Hi everybody!

I was just wondering how many times i should mist my baby bearded dragon a day(because they cant drink from water dishes)also since he is a baby, how many times do i feed him a day, and how many times i give them veggies, also when do i put calcium on the crickets/other insects?????

Shouldn't you have found out all this info BEFORE you bought the dragon? I suppose it's too late for that...

Anyway... as for misting, I mist my baby 2-3 times per day with lukewarm or room temperature water. He will occassionally drink from his water dish, but usually drinks in the bath tub. When bathing, the water should be warm, not HOT, and should reach the dragons shoulders. Make sure not to leave your dragon alone, they need to be supervised at all times when they're in the water.

For feeding, you should feed babies twice a day. The crickets should not be any larger than the space between the dragons eyes. Feed as many small crickets as the dragon will eat in 10 minutes, twice a day. They should be dusted at every feeding with calcium dust. And supplemented once to twice a week with a multi-vitamin. I use Rep-Cal brand. The calcium comes in a jar with a pink label and the multi-vitamin has a blue label. It can be found at most PetSmart stores or ordered online. Make sure the calcium powder contains NO phosphorus. You should keep fresh veggies in the cage at all times for babies to munch on. Do not use iceburg lettuce. I never recommend anything but crickets or small silkworms for baby dragons.
