Very nice!!!! Yeah, when you put a rat in their face, they are some of the most INCREDIBLE feeders on earth aren't they? Absolutely vicious feeding response.

Great looking Taiwan! I LOVE their strong feeding responses, probably one of the most interesting snakes to watch feed!

I had a big male once that was like a big puppy unless he was hungry & then it was bite everything to see if its food. When I went to trade it he didn't get fed for a couple of weeks prior the reptile show so he could be transported "empty". When me & Kyle went to bag him, he bit Kyle like 1/2 dozen times in about 5 seconds. It was quite humourous actually I'm like "Watch out dude", meanwhile Kyles getting tagged like crazy & I didn't even get it once & it was my snake! Moral of the story, watch your fingers when they are hungry & watch out when your friends ask you for a hand for you may get it back all bloody! LOL Mark
P.S. pretty much lifesize in the pic too :D

Thanks for the replies! He's definitely one of my favorite snakes. Very inquisitive and active- more racer like that rat snake like. He's only tagged me once in 8 or 9 years and it was totally my fault. Stupid feeding accident (I was slinging a mouse and the snake missed) that resulted in just a minor laceration as he was only around 4' at the time. The weird thing was nearly a year later when I noticed a red spot on my knuckle that kept itching. I figured it was a splinter or something and pulled out a centimeter long tooth! Poor guy broke his tooth off in me and I didn't even notice. Now I've got the LONG hemostats for offering prey because I never want to come between him and a rat! ;)
