... I bought myself a snake to celebrate :) Aren't I just such a kind and considerate daughter?
He's a male albino het L. ruthveni, about 18 months old. When I saw him at Global Exotics yesterday, I foolishly asked to hold him. He was alert, active, wrapped himself around my arm as if to hold me and not let me go, and kept crawling up my coat sleeve, not wanting to come back out. It had to be a hint that he wanted to go home with me, but I didn't get him then since I plan to get a pair of L. t. annulata in the summer. The wait for them is so long, and this guy was just begging to go home with me so he wouldn't have to start the new year with a 'for sale' sign over his head, so I couldn't even sleep last night, kept seeing him when I closed my eyes. First thing this morning I headed out and bought him. :)
At least now the wait for the annulata won't be so unbearable.
This is perfectly normal behaviour for a herp addict, isn't it?
I'd hoped to post pictures, but he's in his hide box right now. I'll let him settle in a bit before I bother him for a photo session.
