anyone would try to breed a 50 foot snake (if its even possible!) now I know next to nothing about snake genes but would it not have also fair sized offspring?

No not possible. The sulawesi retics are the real giants and to my knowledge the biggest right now is Bob Clarks female Sulawesi, Fluffy. She's about 26ft. They don't come too much bigger than that.
