Im just very curious to know how many animals you guys have..reptiles only and dont write anything but a number..i wanna know who has a lot. This is basically to show my dad that i dont have that many animals..he always calls me crazy and i have 7 animals now. I always show him that some of you guys have 100+. So just say how many you have. If you honestly have to many to count then jsut say that..even better :p

I am just curious, to the people who have over 50 basically..how in the world do you keep them all?!?
Do most of you devote your basments or rooms to them?
And i need to ask, how do you afford all that food!?!
I have 7 and find it anoying to pull out 10 bucks a week for food

Bartman, I have 26 and only pay ~$12 a week. Buy bulk and save a ton, even with shipping a 600 count order(mostly jumbo mice) costs me about $0.62 per item. One bedroom is devoted to housing them also.

Feeding should always be considered before buying any animals. I know that I already pay about $40 week to feed my leopard geckos. I know that if I buy new breeders that the cost is going to go up. I don't ever get annoyed that I have to spend that money. To me it's more important, and fun, than going to a movie or buying a new hoodie:D

I have 28 herps, most of them are snakes, I house all but one (my iguana is a free-roamer) in my bedroom with me and a few warm and fuzzies. I raise my own rats, mice, mealies, supers, and a few other types of feeder insects. The bugs cost very little to maintain, and I spend $60 CDN monthly maintaining my colony of ~200 rats and a small colony of mice.

~125 herps in the permanent collection, mostly reptiles but a few amphibians, plus a few leftover babies.

We devote a lot of space to them, and it costs quite a bit, but it is also our full time business so it is all written off. Jenny does most of the animal care, but I help with some of it.
