My new blood

Well my lovely new Blood seems to be settling in quite well, I've done a tonne of reading and research , but man it dosen't really prepare you for how incrediably (sp?) powerfull these animals are. My good friend Jim (jwsporty) brought him/her over at 8:30 this mornin glad he came early the wait was killing me. I'm just so thrilled to have the privledge of caring for something so beautiful, Bloods have always fascinated me since i was a kid, I could look at them for hours in books. I've decided to call her/him Precious as my daughter said i was starting to sound like gollum....lol...What can i say I have my dream snake. Just had to share with all of you there's a pic of my lovely under jwsporty in this section ......Happy holidays everyone... I got my present early, spoilt brat that i am....lol

They are definitely a force when they want to be! Even when they are just relaxed you can just feel the incredible power they possess. Wait til she grows up a bit more ;) :p Congrats on the new addition :D

Right on Laura-Lee!! Bloods are rapidly becoming one of my favorite snakes. Mine is an absolute gem. She's never shown her power because she's such a big wet noodle when I handle her. :) How old is yours? Is she nervous, or is she adjusting well?

Glad to hear you are happy with the new blood. Just a little different then the corns and balls, eh? ;) I couldn't see you suffer anymore with the waiting. I know you will take good care of her. You know where to call if you have a problem.

The best guess I can give you is she is around 10 months to a year old. She has always been dog tame and a great eater. She is well adjusted and shows a wicked feeding response when the food is dangled in front of her. Otherwise when the food is simply placed in front of her she will take her time to inspect it before eating.

Thank you for the responses guy and gals. I could sit and watch her all day. As Jim said she's quite calm tonnes of hissing though but it's all just for show, lol.. she seems to like her new digs. I'll try to get some pics up soon I have my dad's cam here and I've gone picture happy with everyone but mainly the Blood. I would have to say that Bloods are by no question my absolute fav of all reptiles. And of course Jim you can come visit her anytime. :)
LOL Kelvin I know i've been a royal pain in the @$$ calling to see how she's doing what can i say, I'm like a kid in a candy shop..lol..
