dude its not ignorance these snakes could easily kill a person
i love my snakes but i think id probably be scared sh*tless if i saw a tiger snake slither past me i think its more of a lack of education than ignorance.
When i ivisited NSW i got the crap scared outta me i jumped in the car bare feet to go to the beach to go surfing and this big a*s spider scurried out from under the seat and by the pedals, now i never killed it but im a little more rational than others and btw it was only a huntsman but looked like it woulda hurt a real lot if it bit me
all im saying why bash these people how would you feel if your house was over run with rattlers and bit and killed your dog.

BoAddict i completly agree but you can't argue the fact that the snakes were there be for the humans and now humans are blaming everything on the snakes ....thats the ignorance im talking about all i am saying is relocation by a proffessional (which is being offered free of charge according to the add) is much better then killing an inocent snake dangerous or not ....

well to use that arguement what about all the native wildlife we in southern ontario have destroyed due to our development of citie's therefore destroying habitat.
i didnt read anywhere that they were blaming anything on the snakes just the 1 death of a dog which i wouldnt doubt was bit by a snake.
i dont agree with killing them but that free service that they say they are offering probably just came into place only because this story was being written and city council didnt want to look like fools.
did you read the part that said "Hobson's Bay City Council Mayor Bill Baarini said snake warning signs were being produced for the area. "
well better late then never right.
