I am an avid plant keeper and i want to move to a natural vivarium containing plants, mosses, frogs and reptiles. I have great experience keeping large snakes but i need help with this new venture. I am going to build a 2 foot wide/thick x 3 tall melimine enclosure, so any help on plant, reptile/amphibian species selection would be helpful!!
Thanks,
-Jeff

Hey thats the same size enclosure I just built. I'll post a pic later tonight of it. I have a crested gecko in there now and plan on getting a couple more to put in there. I have some pothos and philodendron in there that seem to be doing very well with a thirty watt flourescent light. There are quite a few options for both animal and plants. Take a look in the natural vivarium forum there are some good threads there.

Personally, I would go with a gecko species if you're wanting a reptile. Tree frogs or Amazon Milk Frogs are nice for amphibians. However, it is not wise to mix reptiles and amphibians. In general, I keep a "do not mix species" rule.

At the reptile store near my house, reptilia if any knows it, they have a 3 beutiful natural vivariums. One has a trio of gtp's..they have a fogger and everything, but pricey. The next one is a oddly shaped tank with 2 giant day geckos. Also looks good. The nicest one though, is with the green tree frogs. There is probably 10 in a large tank with tons of soil and peat moss at the bottem and then up into one corner they made it look like a mountain with a fountain at the top and all the water runs into a little pond like area. Not to big of an enclosure either..almost the same dimentions as yours. It looks amazing!
