A friend of mine came over tonight and I talked him into getting Peanut out of his enclosure since I am still a bit scared of him since he tagged me. At one point Peanut did try to nail my friend though. Anyway, I just HAD to share these pictures with you guys!

Thanks. Peanut is about 4 or 5 years old I was told. I was told that he's about 8 or 9 foot long. But I'm not totally sure. I was also told that Peanut is a male. But like I said, I'm not totally sure lol

in all realiy if you own such a snake why would you fear it after being tagged. you were full aware of it's size B4 you got it. Do not fear a worm like that man you could be so worst off.
just my thaught's when you need your friends to come and take it out for pic's out that is realy not cool. what hapends if it escapes on you. Do you have the experience tp catch it or will you be on the chair with the rest of the regular world. If you can not handel it you should get rid of it that is all.

Who are you to tell someone to get rid of their pets just because they can't handle them? Guess what.. I have a 9 foot female boa that I won't go anywhere near. Does that mean I should get rid of her too? Or does it mean that I just have to work around her instead of taking her out of her cage?
Don't be so quick to tell people to get rid of their pets, ReptiZone.
April, that's a really beautiful snake. It's so disappointing when a normally docile species goes aggressive on you isn't it? Oh well. Just in case you ever need it though, I'd recommend investing in a snake hook. Or, you could do what I did and just buy a paint roller, and take the sponge off. :) It always helps to have a hook handy just in case you can't get around handling it. (ie, if it escapes.)

Excuse me? So what if I am a bit scared of getting tagged again. When he tagged me it WAS MY own fault. In my excitement of getting him I tried to handle him the next day. I KNEW better than to do that. And now we have an understanding between us. I leave him alone and he leaves me alone. My friend that came to visit last night just happened to WANT to take Peanut out any way so I went ahead and took pictures while he was out. And I am working on getting a hook so that IF he does ever escape I'll be able to get him back into his enclosure. This was the first time I had EVER been bitten by any of the snakes that I have kept or keep now and so YES it did freak me out a bit.

Thank you VERY much for your kind words! And it's not that he's aggressive cause he's only tagged me the once and hasn't tried again since then. It was the shock of getting bit for the first time after keeping snakes for 3 years.

Honestly it didn't really hurt too bad. It freaked me out more than it hurt and I didn't even really realize he HAD tagged me until after he pulled away and I saw the blood lol

Thanks. While my friend had Peanut out last night I was handling him a little bit...as long as his head stayed away from me lol. I was petting and holding his back half. Of course I couldn't take pictures of this while I was doing it and I didn't even think to have someone else work the camera until after my friend had already put Peanut back into his enclosure. I'm slowly getting there. It's just taking time.

p-nut is a lot larger than any p-nut i've ever seen. lol
Nice looking boa! I would probably get kind of freaked out if a snake of that size tagged me. The only snake that has ever bitten me is my month old JCP, and my 2 month old Ball python- lol! Good luck with it!

Well...I've got news about Peanut. The person who we got him from decided that they want him back OR $500 for him. So I'm giving him back. Honestly I don't think I'm going to be able to get over my worry of him taggin me again. It's different with Butter (the baby boa) because I'm actually raising Butter and I'm learning to tell his/her moods and such and will get to watch him/her grow up.
