my western hognose got some sort of nose infection, i believe from the dirt he use to have in his cage, hes on calci sand now. his nose was cloged with green stuff so i took him to the vet, the vet told me to give him baytril for a week. well today was a total week, theres still a little bit of baytril left (i gave him the right amounts each day) but his nose is still clogged. what is happening and what should i do? thanks for helping

Issit possible to clean his nostril (I'm assuming that's what you meant by nose) out? Maybe the infection is cleared but the gunk could still be there.

you could use an ear swab to clean it away, if that works and the comes back after a while i would consult your doc. i would NOT continue the batryl, if it was prescribed for a week it is because of the animals size and too much could do harm. hope i helped

do you think soaking would do any thng? i wouldn't know how to get it out with any thing, hes way too tiny. the only thing that could fit in those little nostrils is a pin, and i'm not puting a pin in there. or maybe i should ask the vet?

I dunno what this would do for the infection ( if it's still there) but you could try raising the humidity by keeping it warm and moist. Might get the gunk to loosen up. Although, it is tricky as you don't want to have it too high for too long cos it may cos more problems for an otherwise dry species.
