Question about color change

I purchased a hatchling corn snake from my local pet store, they had purchased it from a local breeder. It was sold to me as a normal corn and it was actually a pretty dull looking normal. She has shed a couple of times since I got her and the markings that are normally reddish on a corn are brown and the grey background color is turning tan. I need to get some batteries for my camera so I can get a pic, but does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Anyone have a normal do this?

Corns, especially normals change color a lot from hatching to maturity. The saddles often lighten and the yellow in the background definately increases as they get older. Here are a couple photos of normal hatchlings and color by about 4 months of age.

georgeous (sp?) corns. And being a normal, unless it is breed from trusted stock can be het for anything usually. lol

Vanderkm- Ok, thanks. She's looking a lot like the bottom one, only more tan in the background color , I think. My other normals have a lot more red in their saddles, she just looks so much different.:) I like her colors though, I hope she keeps the tans and browns.

Syco - hope you can post photos at some point! One of the great things about corns is how much their colors change over time.

The bottom one is actually one of my favorites - her background between her saddles is getting yellower all the time. I bought her as a non-feeder figuring I would get experience with forcefeeding and she has become one of my favorites. She is still little, but is so pretty.
