very nice man! Iam going to say female. As i said before :)

But even more so now.

If you're ever interested in trying to breed her contact me via PM.. I'll tell you what i'am doing to prep my females, I currently have 1 male 3 females. And a pair of another species of albigularus.

cool.. well, at this moment, she's hovering at around the 2' mark.. Since I originally got her with the intention of keeping her as a pet, i never really looked into the breeding aspect until recently... how big should the females be before breeding? I have had her for approximatly 9 months now.. for a while, her growth had been very slow.. but over the last few months, her growth has sped up signifigantly.

on a slightly different note.. a buddy of mine has a 3' albig.. the tail looks similar in proportion to mine, however the head is much more slender.. would that indicate a male or a female?

Cheers,

Justin

Hi Justin,

Very nice albigularis. Formerly called Varanus ocellatus too, a typical type from East Africa, Tanzania/Kenya area, inland, not coastal type. The black = ocelli = scales around the rings are most striking in your animal. I would say female too...and a good looking girl at that!

Good Luck, Enjoy,

Anyone have any guess on the gender judging by the shape of the head..?

Cheers
