I've been notified by someone local, I am in Strathroy...that they wanted to put their iguana down, and the animal clinic told her to call me.
The iguana is approx. 3yrs old. They believe it to be male.
He is very untamed. Lots of biting, and whipping.
The owner and her son are very scared of it, and cannot keep it anymore.
This is not an iguana for a beginner.
You need to have experience with training/taming of iggies.
They are offering it for free to an EXPERIENCED iguana keeper.
I will see about more info (age, accessories, etc)
Please PM me if you might be interested.
Thank you.
*edit* he would come with his cage, which she said is tall, but needs to be longer, as well as any other accessories.
she said he's been fed every day, veggies and fruit, and has UV lighting. So assumably he's in pretty good health. I am trying to work out a time to go see the iguana and will post more info as I get it.
