Woohoo, my husband told me that he is going to get me a snake for Christmas. He isn't into herps, so he wants me to pick it out. So, what do you guys prefer - Western Hognose or Mexican Rosy Boa? I am sure that I will eventually have both! Yay, I am so excited!!!

Get a Western Hognose dood. Western Hognose can open up his neck like a cobra, play dead when threatend and not only that but they are really cute :) . Hope this helps.

well rosy boas cost more, so if you want to save on that expence in the future, go with the rosy. if you just want ONE snake, i personally like hognose snakes more.

Good luck!

i would go with the hognose because as said they ARE GREAT ACTORS. They will sometimes chase their food around with their mouth open(pretty funny). They also grow a little smaller and in my opinion are more colorful. Good Luck.

Thats is a tough call. I would choose the triv triv myself, being my personal favorite of the two. Tough choice though. If you honestly believe you will have both soon, it trully does not matter in the end eh....you will have both as I am sure ya will.

Well, I have a 25 gallon - I think. It's 29"x12"x14". Do you think that it's too large for either?

My husband had arranged for me to get it today, I got a yearling male hognose. He's the cutest thing ever! My birthday is in February, so I'll get the Rosy then. Thanks for your replies everyone. :D
