downloads for music thats free?

hey i just got a cd burner and i was just wondering if anyone knows of any sites to go to to get some free music thanks in advance B.J.

if you are in canada you can download music for free legaly, whether from kazaa or any other source. sharing that music with others on the other hand is illegal.

the way it works is you can borrow music from a friend and copy it. but if your friend copies it for you then that's illegal.

That's in the usa, copyright law is different here.

You could also use iMesh..thats waht i use and it uses the same search as kazaa but is much faster causs less people use it.

nope just go to www.kazaa.com and download it. I have over 300 music and video files and dont pay a cent. Its great and very easy to use. I have burned like 20 CD's from getting music from Kazaa.

Don't get the regular version of kazaa if you do, it has loads of shareware, adware, etc. that will mess up your computer. Get kazaa lite ;)

Kazaa's fine if you want worms, trojans, adware (its there trust me) etc etc. Shareaza is the only p2p I'd ever use.

Imesh has lots of worms, adware and the like. First time I ever had a virus was from Imesh (and I only downloaded music).

I use imesh and winmx . Just make sure that whatever you use that you have a decent antivirus. Music files can be infected just like anything else.

Also, give your computer a sweep once in a while. download adaware 6 or spybot etc. This will also wipe out kazaa itself but just reload it. Over time with Kazaa your computer will be filled with spy ware!!

Try downloading KazaaLite....it'a a smaller version Kazaa minus the bullsh!t (pop ups).

I have it and i find it awesome, do a search on google and you should find it...

I use edonkey, works pretty well. Dont use it for music though, its the games i want :D. So i dont know how much music is available on it.

Man P2P sux monkey balls. There are much better alrenatives if you look. But if you insist on P2P klite++ is the way to go and get a good virus scanner and firewall(you should have those anyway)

I currently use Xolox. With all the legal nonsense going on with Kazaa I've decided to steer away from it for now and check out the alternatives. Go here to check it out

I use winmx. No popups or other annoying crap. They have music, vids and photos.

well if your into P2P file sharing a junkie like me has all of'em. I use nothin but the best! I hate spy ware, the origional program u get, lets say kazaa has alot of junk in it and makes your downloads slow plus it limits your downloads because u must participate. I recommend KaZaA Lite +++ cuz its free of spyware.

Also the biggest file sharing network is Direct Connect, they have over 12 Trillabytes i think... and also MiRC is really good too. KaZaA is mostly for newbies but if u want something specific, MiRC is it...

I think so, i download Xbox games, they are rather big, but i got 14 of em so far. Takes a while before its finished though. My pc is on 24/7 for 5 days before finishin a game, but i aint in a hurry :D

o.k. i know this sounds really dumb but i went to down load winmx.com and what it did was after i agreed with the rules and terms and stuff it took me to another page where every download looked to coast something and would not let me close out.So i shut down my comp. and now i cant close out of anything and it has mps in my hidden icons.Does anyone know how i can delete it from my comp.Again sorry for what is prob. a dumb question i still have alot to learn about comp. stuff thanks B.J.

Back in the day i used win mx (won't go into the reason i don't anymore, but it has nothing to do with the site.) I loved win mx once i got through understanding everything.

Wizer i have no clue what you are talking about. They have never charged to use that program. If you could describe what the page is saying i may be able to help you out and help you understand their screens a little better.

Don't use the overnet crap, get the edonkey version

I use winmx for my music, no hassles and it will work after you run adaware 6 on your computer.

That is wrong. Music files such as mp3's and wma's cannot be infected with viruses. If you think that you received a virus from an mp3 file then you did not get an mp3 file. You probobaly opened an exec file with an mp3 archive.
