I'm sort of confused about how much humity a cornsnake needs i spray her twice per day some nooks say about 80% because they live in one of the most humid places in the staes while other say 50% is fine just wondering what you guys recomend and what happens with too much humity and how will you know if theres too much

Well we keep ours at the house humidity. We spray her enclosure when she is in shed (one-two times a day). Thats about it.

Our house is currently 45% humidity, I spray her enclosure 2x per day while in shed. She has always done well under these conditions.

I have about 50-55% humidity and my corns(sold them) did great with 1-2x daily misting when in shed. You should not have to mist them unless its like below 40% in your house. Good Luck.

In the colder climates and the dryer climates i might mist when not in shed. However I agree with everyone else. I've read about 9,000 care sheets in about 2 weeks and the majority of them said the same thing. :)

Corn snakes are the most hardy, most adaptable snakes in the history of the earth, and that is why they are the most recommended beginner snakes. They are from areas of the eastern USA that range from swamplands to bone dry deserts, and as such do not have any humidity requirements. Our snakes even have perfect sheds without misting, and the humidity in my house is below 25%.

My corn snake is called woody and he's my first he's so easy to look after and i love him and he doesnt really require any humidity because they are so versatile to environments

the humidity with my cornsnakes is at 19% right now and i just had one shed this morning. came off in one piece as always. I've never misted, never had trouble with sheds.

I live in the desert, I might provide a humid hide if I think about it but most of the time their humidity is below 30%

oh ok thx one thing i did notice thoe ever since i started spraying her 3 times a day compared to once i;ve noticed she has become alot more active. do u think this is because of the humity range because in the cornsnake manaul cathy love says that the more time the corn sopends curled up in its hide box the more discomfort its in and its spends its time trying to asorb more mositure in any xcase its great to see her out more just thought i'd share.
