Well.. I'm ticked. The heating pad, that i have been using sucessfully for 3 weeks now, has decided to go hay wire. It has 3 settings, and I usually switch between the high and medium setting, depending on the temp, and I can usually keep the warm side of my BP's enclosure between 90 and 95 C. Well.. all of a sudden no matter what setting I have it on, it shoots up to 114!!! I 'm guessing something went horribly wrong and I will see If I can return it, for now I have to stack a bunch of towels under it so my bp doesn't get too hot.. but that ticks me off! What the heck happened?

Guess I should have bought one from you after all Jeff....

normally they only last for a year or two. Read the gurantee on the box and see how long its suppose to last for. Maybe its time for you to get a new one.

Thanks,
Ben

Get heat tape, reptile heating devices, or something else that was designed to be left one 24/7 is my best advice. Human heat pads are not meant to be left on fulltime so it's an increased risk IMHO.

Nicole, WalMart had the Sunbeams on sale for like $18 and they come with a 3-year warranty! Cruise on down and pick one up.

And I'd never trust one of those things on high. Get some insulation or styrofoam to put underneath so its a bit more efficient and doesn't lose so much heat. The high setting on those things scares the bejeeeezez out of me.
