I had a pair I found at my moms house in southwest AZ. I actually let them go at my place and I see them once in a while eating the bugs on my patio. They do a good job at exterminating. For a 'common' and wild exotic they are pretty neat.

Is that the same as a Turkish gecko?(Hemidactylus turcicus)
Sure looks similar to the ones we have here in Florida.
They were kinda rare in the early '80's but have since become fairly common.

Here's my story. I caught a med. gecko in Texas, and sent it to PA. I had it for like 4 weeks, and it was healthy. Then I noticed a big problem-it escaped!! I saw it once in a while, like before I took a shower or something, but it was too fast for me. Then one night, it was crawling in my window. I chased it out of there, under my bed and up again, and caught it behind a picture frame. Anyway, I was living in my room out of a cage for 7 WEEKS!! I have it still from last summer, and as memorial sometimes I let it run around or do work with it on my finger. It is very similar to the picture above, and those who own med. geckos know how EASILY their tails come off. Anyway, I hope I was interesting and didn't bore any of you!:D
I found many when I was in Texas :)
Really cool guys to catch :D
