Hello People

I would like to know if there is any known about the toxicity of this species.
Are there any works done in the near past or at the Moment that I don't know?
I heard that the little that is known shall indicate that it is comparable to Echis, but regarding their relationship to Atheris I would guess that teir Venom also resambles the Venom of other members of the Atherini.
Maybee you know a LD50 or can describe some experiences with this species(effects on prey or if you(unfortunately) know effects on humans)
Thank you in advance.

Hi mate

We've done a bit of work on the venom. Its quite similar to Atheris venom and also has a devastating effect on the blood coagulation. If you'd like more info, download the Colubroidea LC/MS article from the publications section of my webpage.

If you go to the world of Atheris link on kingsnake theres an account of an envenomation which does not make it sound pleasant.
