How close can my beardie be to a 60 watt bulb w/o getting hurt?

Can't really say a distance.....If the temp is above 100F, it's too close.
If the dragon can touch the light with any part of its body, it is too close.
Yeah, my beardie has a 100 watt within two inches of him, but there is a metal screen between him and the bulb and it creates a temp of 105F when he's right close to it.
Also, if your beardie is still young, his hot spot should be over 100.

As long as he can't touch the bulb and the temps aren't running to high. I say 120 is around the max(100-110 is about normal) If your beardie is contuinually gaping his mouth then either lower the wattage of the bulb or raise the bulb higher from the beardie. Your beardie should also have a cool side to retreat to when he feels quite warm.
