Merry Christmas To Me!!!

My boyfriend just told me what my "big" present is for Christmas from my mom. The way our family works is we get normal presents, and then one big or special present. This year I got my mom a 14kt Gold locket. And my mom is getting me either 0.2 African Fat Tail Geckos or 1.2 AFTs!!!

I'm so excited! For once, I'm not upset about knowing my gift in advance, I'm just more anxious for Christmas to come! However, I told him, because it's a group effort from them, that he should tell her that, knowing me, I'd want to pick them and to just like give me a home made coupon saying, "Good for Geckos" or something so that I can go to the Feb. show and pick out my own.

Although I'm sure, whichever way it goes, I'll be SO happy! I know that she's going to Port Credit this weekend to look at prices and such.

This will be my first lizard, although I took care of them at my old job, I've never had a PET lizard, so I'm really excited :)

Congratulations! :) I worked with AFTs for a few years and they were just awesome.
Sooo tame (my leos run around like idiots but my AFTs were really calm even with minimal handling), not to mention easy to breed.

Just a note, you may want to not buy your AFTs at PCPC. I've seen them and every time they were in a terrible state... fresh imports that were brought over in canvas bags, I should think -- thin tails (if they have tails period), missing eyes, toes, etc. Nothing bad against PCPC, but you may want to look elsewhere unless you feel like doing some rehabilitating :P

That is SO awesome!!
You are going to love 'em! I've never owned fat tails but geckos in general are the bomb!! They all have so much personality and are oh so addictive...
Right now I have leopard geckos, a giant day gecko and a crestie but I've been considering fat tails for a while now so when you have babies, tell me! :D:D

Congratulations on the upcoming addition! I just picked up 1.4 AFTs at the November show and they are awesome little geckos. I'm sure you will enjoy them a lot!

Several "name" breeders will indeed have AFT's at the Feb show... my het amel's starting laying yesterday... Happy Christmas to me too!!
