Hi all,
Just a quick question. Do any of your snakes seem to show a colour preference in prey items? Our female corn always eats the darkest prey first (i.e. black and white), and then the lighter coloured items (tan and white) and then the white ones. If there are two given that are the same basic colour she chooses the one with the most of the darkest colour. I have been documenting this for several feeds and the results are always the same. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this common?

I have not noticed anything like that before?

My corn eats every color of prey that I give him but my ball python doesn't like white mice and my kingsnake would not eat anything but albino mice for a small period of time.

Our corns are absolute machines, and will eat anything rodent-like dangled in their face. I've never had them show any preference. I've heard of this happening with BPs, but not corns.
