Plants for chameleon enclosures

What are the non toxic plants can I put in a veiled chameleon enclosures.I search big plants.

Damn hibiscus always die on me.. I don't know why

Weeping fig and saber fig are good choices and pothos are probably the best trailing type. I'm experimenting with fiddle leaf fig right now, and so far it holds up really well.

Skillz... Hibiscus are great, the veiled chams go nuts over the blossoms. The problem is that the plant stresses too easily and as soon as something starts climbing on it and nibbling at it, it starts to drop it's leaves and gives up.

You mean hibiscus trees don't drop their leaves on a weekly basis???!! Mine is constantly losing leaves. LOL. I've had it for 3 years now. (Its a great tree to take the cham out on for the day to bask in front of the window or be right outside. )But you are right, my cham would take big chunks out of the flowers. She also loved the leaves. And the hibiscus dosen't have the sap like the fiscus does.
My cham also loved my african violet flowers.

Yanis - when you are putting foilage in your enclosure - pick plants that like bright light for the top of the cage, and line the floor and shadier areas with plants that can easily grow in a poorly lit house. Pothos seems to like both areas since the vines drop downwards away from the light, but you can hang it from the top of the enclosure.

The hibiscus seems to do better outdoors. I have kept some indoors under MV bulbs and even then they don't fare well. I would pick another plant for long term keeping like the ficus, umbrella, and pothos. All these should be easily found at your local plant shop. Use the hibiscus for your outdoor caging, Veileds will love to eat the flowers and leafs. Hope this helps!
