Well, my ball python has had some wierd eating behaviors lately. I have been trying to feed him rats (he is 2' 3") and he just does not take to them like mice.
Out of the last 4 rats, he has eaten 2, both of which took a lot to get him to do, and the other two rotted trying.
You are probably going to get on to me about feeding him live, but the other thing I am concerned about is he keeps striking, and missing.
Would this have anything to do with not being fed at regular intervals?

If not, any idea what the problem is?

When snakes go into shed, they dont have very god sight and that may cause them to strike and miss. My Ball Python somtimes strikes and misses, even when he is not in shed.

My Ball Python is 2ft long and he is eating 1 monster mouse a week, I need to get her over to rats ASAP.

What size rat is your Ball Python eating/trying to eat???

Cheers

Alex

50% eating rate, from what I've heard that's not bad, could be he is just picky. As far as missing, it happens. Even Gretzky missed the net once in a while.
