I'm just dropping a line from a coffee shop computer in downtown Honolulu. My husband and I made our move to Hawaii without a hitch. We've met up with a bunch of friends that we knew from prior naval bases and so we're settling in nicely. I went into a pet shop the other day and was bummed out that all there was were dogs, cats, fish and birds. It enhanced my snake withdrawl and made me miss my little ladies. I've been trying to get in touch with everyone to see how they are all doing. I kind of thought I'd get over it a bit faster, but no. Oh well, on th3e bright side, it's sunny and the weather doesn't ever seem to change from a high of 81 and a low of 71. Rough, I know. We are on teh waiting list to get into military housing so in the meanwhile we're living in a hotel/condo in Waikiki with the most beautiful view, the view costs an arm and a leg, but for a temporary situation, it's well worth it. Pictures soon to come. We've played at the beach, for x-mas we're going skydiving, and a week ago I went night snorkling at Haumana Bay (sp?). Well, I'm not trying to make you all jelous (maybe just a little) but you all are making me jelous that you get to continue enjoying the herping world. Well that's my touch base for you- I'll hop back on once I get access to a computer again- sometime soon I hope.

Aloha!

Nice to see you back on the forums. Good to hear your move went well. Some of my family lives on Kawaii and one of them dearly misses owning some of the snakes that are available on the mainland. :) It sucks but its a trade off to be around year long beauty and wonderful temps! lol.

Start field herping there! Maybe it will help your withdrawl!

man o man, at least the view, temperature, and activities help make up for the lack of snakes...at least a little bit! :D

Hello!
Ok- I still don't have regular access to a computer and I do have my digital camera with us, but no connection cords. Damn that Friday night drinking which made me forget the cords! Things are still going pretty well. I still go thru my snake withdrawls and miss my ladies, but from what I hear they are all doing well, except I haven't heard from the person who has my burm.

It is beautiful, I am still waiting to get into military housing so in the meanwhile I don't really have the home to take in mew critters. I even passed up on taking on a beta fish - and those can even live in an old pickle jar! Winter here means rain- and there was so much rain that our Mustang stalle dout in a puddle during a forced detour that we hydrolocked our engine. So I have no pity for those in several feet of snow. SNow does not ruin engines! Anyway- I am doing various temp jobs until I get a real full time one. I miss haveing a daily routine. I wouldn't ocmplain, but unless you have alot of cash, your fill-time options are limited in HI.

Well, It's Friday night and I have a beer getting warm. I really hope to have the right cables then next time I have a chance to get online. Sentimentle moment- I'm drunk and miss you all! Later.
Jennifer
