Adult pairs and trios of syspila were found under rocks in kansas on these dates:

1 pair- 4/3/03- Johnson County Kansas.
1 pair- 4/8/03- Waubunsee County Kansas
2 pair- 4/22/03- Wyandotte County, and Leavenworth County.
1 trio- 5/12/o3- Douglas County Kansas
1 pair- 5/23/03- Franklin County Kansas
1 pair- 9-13-03- Johnson County Kansas
1 pair- 10-9-03- Leavenworth County Kansas

Interesting how the milksnakes will be found in pairs during the spring and fall.

Probably coincided with breeding season. :)

that its related to breeding season. But this is ruled out as an explanation for the fall pairs unless the snakes are practicing parthenogenisis, which is doubtful. Anyways, I always love the sight of two or more milks under a rock. :)

Why ruled out as an explanation for the fall pairs? Don't milks also breed sometimes in the fall?
