Homemade snake decor

Here's a pic of an "ornement" I made over the weekend for my snake to get some exercise on. What do you think????

The white base is covered with the shavings.....to get an idea of the size of it...it's pretty much as tall as a 10g tank.

Very cool looking. I'm always a big fan of at least semi natural looking stuff in tanks.

How sturdy is it when the snake is moving around up top?

The white board on the bottom is a fair weight...the whole thing is very stable. But I would NOT use this one for a larger snake. It is being used for a 3mos old cornsnake. As well, it wouldn't be able to topple over or anything due to it being pretty much the same size as the tank (10g) in height and width. I'll take a pic of the tank shortly :)

my little boy is getting a lot of love for it~
it's eating more, loved more, taken out more regularly than me, plus now it get a gym to play with~

Hey guys....the how-to's are quite easy actually.

Collect some wood, wash it in a mild bleach/water solution, rinse and bake it in the oven for an hour or so (250F) to kill any nasties, and you have snakie wood(or lizard wood) . I drilled holes thru the main stump, and just hammered the smaller "branches" in thru the hole. Oh, the main stumps are screwed into the base.

I was going to leave it at that, but I will be adding some fake leaves to it as well....picked up some nice ones from the dollar store today.
