Hemipenes everted...Won't invert...?

First of all the varanid is a Neo-juvie sav, He everted two days ago and has yet to invert his hemipenes. I have tried some home remedies such as icing suger and soaked him in a bowl of warm sugar water but all has failed. If anyone has any prior experience with this i am open to suggestions. Otherwise i am going to attempt to invert them myself tonight.

Hi Ed,
Try some mineral oil and apply it to the little pene with a q-tip or swab - do not touch it with your fingers! It's his private and you wouldn't want some stranger touching yours right?! haha... if this does not work, ask John adragna at cybersalvator.com - he has experience with everted hemipenes - it may be dehydrated or a muscle cramp?

Well i dunno mark......I kinda like the idea of a stranger touching my private parts....LOL!

As for steeve's post..... Enclosure hygene definatley not the culprit....My girlfriend dropped the lil guy about a month ago....Dislocating his legs and breaking his tail, His legs are healing extremely well but no luck for the tail. The last half will fall off in the next couple of days. I was just about to use a probe to re-invert but i wasn't sure....Thanks for reasuring my decision.
