i went to my aunts last night for my second thanxg. dinner, and a lady two doors down had a 55g tank in her back yard. i of course saw the possibilities, and had to ask, and this weekend will go to pick up farkus' new enclosure WHOPEE.
just had to share

I have a ton of used aquariums that I got the same way. Great way to "recycle" them (and not shell out the $$!) and keep our herps happy. Be sure to post pics of his new home when it's done!

gosh ur lucky. a 55 gallon would cost me like 125$
we ended up with 2 free tanks from a friend who had a tank cleaning business. they woudn't hold water but who cares, we don't keep fish.
Free is the right price for me.

Free is one of my favorite prices. It's right up there with zero, zilch, and nada.

lol Invictus and mykee, free is my fav price too. I wish I could find something like that aquarium. All I seem to find are cracked or broken 10 gallon ones which are pretty much useless to me since I have more than I need as it is.
Free is the best kind. My buddy gave me a 55g and nice custom made top with a stand that my beardie lives in now.

Jordie, send it to me :D lol jk
I love getting free tanks.
Durring the summer I picked up a 60 gal and a 30 gal from a family friend. We also have these sort of junk exchange things in my area where each neihbourhood has a time period to put out unwanted junk then the city comes and cleans it up. Most people put it out early and much sofa/tv/chair/rug/ect. claiming happens. I gathered 2 20gal tanks and a hexogone tank (I think it's arounda 30gal.
Whew - so many more tnaks then pets, but you never know when you'll need a new one!
Free stuff's the best stuff! Nice score! :D

awwwwwwwwwesome. i need to get me some more friends who keep herps/get sick of them quickly.
both of my tanks are 36 gallon and both were FREE yay, but i don't like using aquariums for ssnakess. They really don't retain humidity very well at all...or heat for that matter
der see what this website has done...I can't spell snakes properly anymore....took me two tries this time
