How soon after regurgitation do I try to refeed? I feed Kaspar yesterday and this morning I found a partially digested pinkie in his tank.
Should I feed him again today?
I don't know what caused him not to keep it down...
- I fed him in a container, then slipped him back in the tank
- temps are stable at 85F during the day(cooler at the other end of the tank. Goes down to bout 75F at night.
Thanks.
Definitly do not feed him again today. They need time to rebuild their digestive juices back up. Normally people suggest waiting 7-10 days to attempt feeding again.
I am not sure what caused it though. A female corn I have used to regurg when she was a hatchling if we fed her during shed. But other than that it could be a million things.
Definitly no handling or feeding for at least a week if not longer. Then try feeding again.

Yup just like Marisa said.
I would wait at least 10 days cause it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Plus just give it clean water everday and do not disturb it during this 10 day rest period.
Make sure there are hides, the temps are right, no handling, no pulling the snake out to take a look or anything that would stress a snake out.
It shouldn't be too much of a problem. Maybe just that it's still not too used to the new environment that it's in right now.
Good luck~

Do not feed it right away. Wait at least a week. The most common cause of regurgitation is temps that are too low. Next would be handling right after feeding. If you rule those two out, it could be a number of causes.
