I found this spider tonight at work and put it in a deli cup. It has red legs and looks hairy. It is small. I am taking it home to try and get some good pictures.
What I need to know is what will it eat? Other spiders, smaller flying insects are hard to find at this time of the year.
Any ideas what it is with out a picture?
Thanks for the help

I never really read a caresheet on house spiders before but depending on it's size, it could probably eat pinheads. If it's too small to eat pinheads, it can probably eat fruitflies/flightless fruitflies or hatchling crickets.(You know... the crickets that are only a couple hours old and are still white) Good luck! I hope that this helps :)

Ooh I forgot! If the spider is too small for pinheas and breeding your own crickets to get the hatchling crix is too much work, try flour worms/microworms. Supposedly those are really small. They aren't too hard to find online.
Good luck!

try aphids, leaf hoppers, etc.. any small insects that you could find outside would probably be what the spider feeds on.
Thanks,
Ben
