their office hours are currently closed so i thought i'd ask here.
I want to work for the military as an electrician and I'm currently enrolled in a Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship program. My question is, would i need to have my Electrician Ticket or is it possible to learn and train there as a soldier & electrician?
thanks

you can train as a soldier after your basic training is completed

so does that mean they will train me as an electrician there then train me as a soldier?
No you do 2.5 months boot camp before any specialized training. If you enroll now, you should be able to get in for the April boot camp. They are currently out of funds and cannot send anymore to the January boot camp.

if they have positions open in that field. they don't always have what you want available
They will usually send you where needed I would suggest goin to the office and finding out if you can specifically get into the electrician equivilant field

OK~~ I am in the military. I am a Meteorological Technician. They sent me to school for this. In your situation I believe if you have your ticket already you are elegable for a signing bonus.
Read this and it will explain the training process for electricians
