Do you feed your kids in their tanks, or elsewhere? If elsewhere, reason why?
Thanks.

In their tanks, it's to much of a hassle to take them all out every time they have to eat.
Well right now of course I feed in the tanks. But then since you only have 1. I would definately advice you to feed outside. (Remember the deli cup that I gave you? Feed in there.
There are serveral reasons for this.
1) So that they don't swollow any substrates that you're using
2) They don't get too distracted from eating
3) They like it dark. So feeding in a deli cup usually works for fuzy eaters.
4) Feeding outside it's tank is good because if you feed them in their enclosure all the time, they might think that ever time you open the tank, it's feeding time. I have been tagged many times just opening the lids of the tubs. So instead of getting them used to opening tank = feeding. It could be Opening tank = feeding/handling/playing time~
So I would definately advice you to feed outside the tank. Even if you decide to feed inside the tank try and get the substrate off the prey. I do this buy using a deli cup cover to put the prey in so that it minimizes the amount of substrates that the snake takes in.
Good luck and happy herping!

I feed all mine out of there tanks. I have smaller rubbermaids for them all. Then if they make a mess by ripping the rat apart it is easier to clean.

My little corn recently ate a small piece of aspen... I fed him on a paper towel but he dragged it off and got a bit on there. Is this all right? Do you think it will pass?

Tammy,
Don't worry. A bit of aspen in the snake's tummy is going to be alright. But try and avoid it if possible~

but our animals have never lived in the wild and their digestive system may not know how to handle most things like a WC would. Besides there are to many breeders out there to have a WC corn!
