Today's events:
Brought Larry into the vet at 8am. I left her there so they could xray and run some tests.
Mid afternoon, I talked to my vet. He told me the xray showed two things. MBD in her upper body(arms) and that her uterus was abnormally large. He wanted to do a laproscopomy(sp)...where they look inside to see what's going on. I said ok. I trust this man completely, even though he is not highly herp skilled. They would give me a call with what they found when they opened her belly.
He called around 5ish, and they had gone ahead and took out her uterus. My 3.3lb girl was carrying 29 eggs.http://www.linkd.net/~cmarvin/public/lizards/eggshand.jpg They had to wash her out because several of the eggs were broken. For size comparason, here is a pic of one egg in my handhttp://www.linkd.net/~cmarvin/public/lizards/egghand.jpg He said he was surprised she made it thru the surgery. Now it's up to her and me. She needs to eat and decide she wants to get better. I need to force feed her if she won't eat. She is literally skin and bones now. I'm scared. She looks absolutely awful.
I will post my questions in appropriately titled posts seperate from this one.
I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the well wishes. Please continue to think about my baby, and that she has the strength to pull through this.
