i've been hand feeding my crested some peach baby food. i just dip my (cleaned) finger into some baby food and put it on his mouth and he'll lick it untill its gone. i was just wondering if i should stop doing this.. will the gecko get accustomed to it and not take it from a bowl if i continue to do this? i just thought it might build trust when handling and i would be able to make sure it's eating.

thanks

oh btw (s)he pooped for the first time 2 days ago on the side of the tank.. might've pooped somewhere in the leaves and i just missed it.. the feces looked very thin and dented. there was a urate.. so i prob wont worry bout dehydration.

That shouldn't cause any problems with dish feeding later. You right about the trust issue, its a great way to create a mutual bond with your crestie.

I do that with cleo and i have had no problems with her eating out of her dish. She is such a pig i don't think she cares where the food is coming from as long as she is eating, lol.
