How long does everyone brumate their dragons? Also, What temperature does everyone use?

I let mine decide if and when they want to brumate, I don't put them into a forced brumation. If they go to sleep for more than 3 days without getting up to eat or drink I will turn off the basking bulb but not the UV, so they stay at around 70 degrees. Most of mine have never slept that deeply, they are up every couple of days for a few bites of salad before going back to sleep again.

Hibernation is not needed but a partial brumation helps. Reduce lighting to about 7 hours per day with a drop in temps to the low 70's at night. Reduce the food intake as well. Make sure you do this slowly and do the reverse after about 4-6 weeks. Make sure they do not consume a lot of food before cooling. They can and do breed without the "brumation" however, the cycling will result in more viable and healthier babies. Separation also helps induce breeding. Keep in mind that there are exceptions to the "rule" . Go with what seems to work. Thanks Ray G. HBR
