well Ive been looking into getting a burm for about a good 5-6 months now, used every possible arguement and im out of ideas. Mom wont budge. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to just bring it down one day and see what she says. I have done this with every herp I have but the biggest one is a Ball P now this is a big jump so any suggestions.

When mom says no , mom means NO! , hahaha , hey kid how old are ya? a ball p might be better then a burm right now, they get really big . Anyway if she still won't let ya have a snake try keeping it at a friends place , thats what i had to do when i got my first snake. lol
good luck

Other Post (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29713) Dude, you just posted asking about getting your first snake. I guess you bought a ball. Give it a while before you move up to a retic, you havn't kept snakes for more than 2-3 weeks. ;)

ah I know I have been researching for about half a year, I have had experience with snakes my dad had a couple good sized pythons and a friend of mine has them so I do have lots of research done on them and experience. the corns where the biggest I could get away with without mom knowing :D she found out however. 16 btw Guess I may have to wait a few couple years for a burm :(

When you live on you own then get the snake. But when you are under you parents roof they are the boss and you should respect there rules. In the end by just getting it with OUT permission it would just be the snake that suffers.
Stick with the ball python and just do all the research you can do on a Burm. And by that time you maybe in you own house were you can have what you wish.

well after a lengthy discussion I talked my mom into a Boa, not quite as big as one of the "giant pythons" but itll do so basicly I will be building an enclosure and then hopefully doing a few months research so I am pretty happy. Thanks for the input guys
