View Full Version : what not to do when ur give a frog a a bath...
today i was giving my frogs a bath and stupid me i went to go eat dinner and left them in there makeshift bath and i placed a lid on the top so it would prevent them from exscaping (or so i thought). when i came back i went to go put them back in there cage to discover that jubjub(one of my frogs) was no longer there. so i spent an hour tearing up my room in a frantic search for my beloved frog. then after searching every corner of my room i finally found him under my shelf thingy poor thing was really dehydrated so i put him back in his cage and he hopped right into his big water bowl and hasen;t left it since he should be fine but that goes to show lol if u don;t wanna be stupid like me and lose ur frog always supervise them when u give them a bath lol luckly i found him so 8i can laugh at it now.
just thought i'd share my experince so u guiys will never have to go throw it even thoe u guys probably wouldn;t of in the first place

Lol funny story, I just lived a similar one.
Today, I went to feed an Uromastic we rescued 2 weeks ago.
He was in bad shape and he wouln't move much.
He did eat a lot so we knew he would make it.
Anyhow, since it is a rescue and all, I placed him in a big rubbermaid bac and put a 18 inch uv in there with a very hot spot. A trick for uromsatics is to boost the temps when you are brigning him back up the hill. So when I put those in, I then put a screen top on it and a quite heavy piece of melamine on top to secure it all.
Anyhow, this morning, I take off the melamine, take off the screen and lifted the newspaper since he would sleep under there. He wasn't.
A good chance I always close my reptile room. It took me a good 5 minutes to find him which is quite good if you would see the mess in there ;-). Mainly too many places for him to hide under the counters and all. So I started to look around and found him behind a cabinet. Got him out and the little bugger started tail whipping me like no tomorrow. So I guess his mbd is slowly getting better since he was able to climg out and go hide there. When we got him, he would barely move.
Was lucky to find him. Just didn't know how long he had been gone, could have been 1 day and a half at most. Anyhow, he is back in there, and this time, if he manages to get out, I am entering him in the world guiness for the strongest uro since he will have to lift a good 25 lbs of melamine ;-)

its not the same but when I was about 10 me and my brothers used to catch toads and we would make habitats out of those kiddy pools for them, anyways one day we had about 30 in one of the poools (yes before I get screamed at I was 10). Anyways we decided to carry itin the house at which point we tried to get it in the door we tipped the pool and all of the toads got in the house. Well we found about 30 of them in the batroom some in the tub and some in the sink and some in the toilet. Well let me tell you when my mom walked in there..... Well my head is still ringing 6 years later..
