I have a 48"x18"x24" fish tank. I've had it and the fish in it for years. I'm getting tired of all the up keep(weekly 50% water changes, filter cleaning, feeding etc) and the expense (200/month on food and filter media). I found someone who wants the fish.

any herp suggestion for the tank? No snakes unless the are actually suited to a screened top enclosure.

thx
Derrick

How about beardies or a colony of leos.

yeah bearded draogn would be cool, although very expensive to feed, up to 50crix a day when young :(. you could get like 5leos or something

if you want to start a leopard gecko colony and are coming to edmonton soon, i got two female leo's for sale. check them out at www.geocities.com/leo_gecko_man/home.html
average cost for food a week is about $20. and that's for 8 leopards!

Corn or king snakes, we actually keep about 1/2 our snakes (boas, pythons, kings, corns) in screened top enclosures with no problems).

of my group only the boa's need an environment that I could not achieve in glass and screen.

It's pretty dry in your area of the world, so when using glass and screen one must take into account the humidity of your natural enviroment.

lol, I think I know the humidity of my area, as well as how to adjust for it and even glass and screen can be adjusted for all but a few heavy humidity animals here. Now you want to give a clue on how to keep tanks consistently 82F and lower where the ambient temp may be 100F+ for 7 months straight that doesn't involve refridgerated air and high electric bills beyond the means of a college student I'll listen, I've been wanting brb and gtp for a while but they only folks I see with them here run refridgeration.

What about some Fat Tail Geckos :) They're pretty cool.

Go with corns, all 6 of mine are in screen topped aquariums.
