The spikes are for show really. They're pretty pliable.

Ummmm Yeah i hold mine ALOT acutally they can get quite pissy if i don't hold them. They will throw mini fits if i try to put them up. LOL it's quite funny really. Mine will usually sit in their spots on the back of the couch for hours if i let them. Oh and they spikes LMAO don't hurt at all like rwg said they are for show.

Beardies are nice, alot like blue tongues in that it seems they like the attention and are very curious

Beardies are the perfect animals for handling. Some actually respond affectionately to handling. In regards to those spikes they are very flexable and wont injure you. the more you handle them the more your beardy will love you
