i can't get my bp to eat

umm.. u can try feeding live? waiving the dead rodent? rub the rodent against a lizard to get the scent? try feeding at night? is the enclosure fine? what temp etc? im not a pro.. not 100% on this stuff.. =P

How old is your BP. I have tremendous luck with getting Balls to eat. Don't sent the mouse with a lizard, use a gerbil. Their natural food in Africa is the Kangaroo rat, which is similar to the gerbil. If your BP is over 2 years old, you have plenty of time. BPs will quit eating for about a month sometimes, it's just normal. Try a live gerbil, don't handle it, feed it late at night after everyone has gone to sleep.

Only my 2 cents worth here the gerbil is a great idea to help it along if the gerbil doesnt work on its own get a ceramic flower pot turn it upside down punch a hole in the bottom make sure the edges are smooth let the B.P. go in it if you can put a wee bit of straw in the corner the gerbil will scratch at it and that just drives the B.P. nuts and then dinner time!
That is just what usually works for us every time, hope that helps some.:)

2 weeks isn't a long time and there is definitely no need for worry yet. Scenting with gerbils or feeding with gerbils should be a last resort as once a BP gets a taste of gerbil you may never be able to get them off it. What methods have you tried? How are you feeding? How is your setup? How long have you had him? Now are you sure you have the weight right? That's the weight of a *small* hatchling BP. Also, are sure on the age? Your BP should weigh ALOT more than that by now....

yep royals just go off feed sometime, for months even. a gerbil switch can be impossible to reverse. they could even be photosensitive no ones proved they aren't. Are you sure it doesn't have parasites? A farm raised import maybe a cbb usually isn't but could stand a check. Try different colors of mice sometime a brown or black may cause a response a white didn't. As long as there isn't a noticible weight loss and the animal is staying hydrated don't worry too much.

wow, I would think a juvenile or small adult mouse may be appropriate unless it is only days old. My crotalus are smaller at birth and start on medium hoppers. Pinks and fuzzys are for little neonate snakes like corns, kings, and milks that are pencil size at birth. JMO
