I'm just curious if most people feed their BPs on a regular schedule or do you wait for 'signs' from your BP that it's ready to eat. Is one way better than the other for any reason?

I feed all my baby BP's every 4-5 days. I feed the adult BP's every 10 days exactly, and I have yet to have one refuse. If they decide not to take it (which, well, that has never happened) I will just give it to one of my rattlesnakes ;) They don't chow as often as my BP's. I don't do it for any other reason but that I want to go by the guidelines of feeding BP's, and I am pretty sure none of them are compaining.

Hope this helped!

Everyone has their own method to feeding their balls, there really is no right or wrong way. Jus don't underfeed them.

I have a fairly regular schedule for my six-month old BP, since he'll eat pretty much whenever I offer food. I fed him every 4-5 days when he was on adult mice, but now that he's taken a rat, I'll probably slow down a bit. My two year old girl has gone off-feed, so I will only offer her food when she's active and moving around her tank, which has only been once or twice in two months (she hasn't eaten yet).

I feed my 4 month ball a medium to large mouse when he is active, which is a pretty consistant 4 day cycle.

It's different for everyone. But I feed on a scheduel and let them decide if they want to eat or not. My male bp just decided to eat after 1month 15days!

I had a left over fuzzy from my corn and decided to see if he wanted it (hate wasting f/t rodents), he hit it so hard that he knocked the tongs into the side of the glass.....he hit it so hard he almost broke the glass! so we warmed up a small rat (only one we had) and gave it to him he took it........

sorry I know that was off topic (kinda) but i'm really happy, thats the longest one has refused to eat!:)

Inder one year, 4-5 days.
Over a year, 7 days.
Females being conditioned for breeding, 5 days.
Males a months before their fast, 5 days.
I think that's it.
Hope it helps,
Trevor
