Texas Rat Breeding

I have a male Texas Ratsnake who is approx. 1-1 1/2 years old maybe more(I got him at a reptile store so I am not really sure). He is approx. 3-3 1/2 feet long(maybe more I need to measure him soon). I was wondering what the proper age, length, and weight is before breeding is attempted.
