Eye Caps

My Boa just shed recently and i noticed in the shed the lack of one eye cap, the other was only partial. This is the first time this has ever happened but his eyes look completely normal. Is there any signs or tests to find out if the eye cap did not shed? He also is acting fine, but i just didn't want to leave him with one eye cap still on, so i want to be sure. Thanks.

well from the shed you should be able to determine which eye cap didnt shed. I've only dealt with this once on a friends ball python recently. On very close inspection you could tell that it was still there. Applying some mineral oil with a q-tip waiting 1/2 hour then using a warm cloth did the trick for removal.
