I know that Kings like to musk when aggitated, like when I go to pick mine up. He is young and it's not that bad so I don't mind that much.
Do other Colubrids musk as well? How about other kinds of snakes like boids?

Amazon tree boa musks
I have 4 of them and they all do... they are not tame and will bite... and always musks when i take them out of their enclosure.
especially the adults (that i bought as adults and they were never handled...)
Our milks must as well be called 'musk-a-lots'... most every time they are removed from their enclosure they musk ya to death. If that doesn't work they switch to jaws... <G> I've been told they will grow out of it, that remains to be seen - as like Mary's Boas.. .they were never handled; probably because of that reason. Very secretive snakes that don't enjoy being out of their environment for very long at all. I've heard Brazilian Rainbow's musk quite a bit as well? Is it mostly when they're young or do they grow out of it?

My speckled King only musked once and that was when i caught him. He has always been a very friendly snake but still rattles his tail when he get's agitated. I think it 's b/c he is so young.
