I'm researching using Crushed Corn Cob as a substrate for a ball python and/or a Texas Rat Snake. Are there any humidity issues that may pose a problem. Any opinions on this are greatly appreciated.

Seeing as how corn cob litter is dehydrated to remove any moisture, thereby making it more absorbent, I would think that any humidity that's introduced to the enclosure the cob would suck right up. Am I wrong?
Terrible susbtrate. It molds really quickly if exposed to moisture.

That stuff got real popular up here maybe 25 years ago. Problem is, it gets mouldy really fast and the granules tend to get stuck on teeth. Leave it in the silo where it belongs or in your garden composter.
