scales rotting urgent

One of my blue tongues have died sadly. It seems that his scales were kinda being eaten or rotting. On his underbelly there were some kind of open wounds. My other to seem to have this problem but it is early in the process. My female has developed some open wounds on her belly. My male just seems to have these rotting scales. I really love these animals and i would rather not have them die, if you can give me any help at all it would be greatly appreciated.

Please take your skinks to a qualified herp vet ASAP. These animals should have had medical attention when signs first started showing. It would take a very long time for an animal to die of scale rot (if that is what this is). Whatever it is, it sounds like a very serious bacterial infection. What are your conditions? How often is the cage disinfected? Please get them to a vet ASAP for a definite dignosis and treatment so you don't lose these ones as well. In the meantime I would suggest cleaning the area and applying a trip[le antibiotic ointment. Move the animals off of their substrate and to papertowel. Keep everything as sterile as you can until you speak with the vet. Good luck and keep us posted.

hey i'm sorry i would have b4 the first one died but my boss wont let me take them ok. I wont mention where i work. But i would like to know what i am dealing with, but it's hard i guess to see the animals on a post. I dont have a scanner. I would like to thank u all and i am giving the best care that i can for these animals.

ok if you can not buy them then steal them. If the guy is neglecting his animals (that really pisses me off) Call the humaine society or anytyhing like that in your area. If you do not stand up for them noone else will :( I know you are stuck between a rock and a hard place, just do what you in your heart feels right. Sorry I cant be more help. I would do it for you. thank u for understanding my situation and i will insist on them seeing a vet. But if he doesn't help them i will do all that i can. thank u very much everyone. and u dont piss me off it is just a very direct aproach to the situation which is kinda a good thing!
